There are hundreds of gravestone photos hidden away on my computer from numerous local cemeteries. This is my way of sharing the photos with you. You might like to take a digital stroll from the comfort of your favorite chair with me through some of the many photos I took at Fairview Cemetery at New Berlin, NY. This town is located in Central NY in Chenango County on Route 8.

Graveside pink spray
Find A Grave is now owned by Ancestry.com and it is a wonderful resource for
searchers. Find A Grave is a world wide site with memorials completely done by volunteers.
All of those Find A Grave memorials are made available on Ancestry.com FOR FREE meaning they put them in the LEAF HINTS and they can be added to the person in your family tree that you are looking up.
One can really hope you find more that just the dates of their birth and death, but even those can
be helpful. Finding an obituary can be treasure leading to more family.
I strongly encourage you to add the place of their birth and death if possible. You have no idea how helpful that is if you find MULTIPLE people with that name and birth year. And believe me there are multiple people in this world with the same name.
Actually, I'm thrilled when I find a name that is unusual, because it fits into the research puzzle nicely sometimes.
